Pizza Pockets

These easy homemade pizza pockets are packed with melty cheese and savoury salami, all wrapped in a soft, high-protein dough. Served with Beautiful Energy, they're a satisfying lunch or snack that's ready in no time.

Ingredients

  • 200 g self-raising flour
  • 200 g plain high-protein yoghurt
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 60 g tomato passata
  • 80 g grated light cheese or mozzarella
  • 60 g mild salami or pepperoni slices
  • 1 serve Beautiful Energy Powder (flavour of your choice), per serve

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the self-raising flour, high-protein yoghurt, Italian herbs, garlic powder and salt.
  2. Knead until a smooth dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little extra flour as needed.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  4. Flatten each dough ball into a small round. Spoon the tomato passata into the centre, then top with the cheese and salami or pepperoni.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges firmly to seal. Gently flatten each pocket into a thick disc.
  6. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Place the pizza pockets in the pan, cover with a lid and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Meanwhile, dissolve 1 serve of Beautiful Energy Powder per person in a glass of water and stir until fully dissolved.
  8. Serve the warm pizza pockets with your Beautiful Energy drink.
